How To Get Your Daughter Into STEM

Hi,

Thanks for stopping by. I’m a parent of a 4 year-old girl, who’s just at the age where she’s starting to form and express clear learning preferences.

I don’t care whether or not she becomes a Nobel Prize-winning physicist, Fields Medal-winning mathematician, or tech CEO.

But I also don’t want her to shy away from science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) for some arbitrary reason. Especially in today’s tech-saturated world.

She’s a smart girl and I want her to see STEM as the viable option it is, one that’s well within her capabilities. If she ends up choosing another intellectual direction, that’s just fine.

This site is the record my thoughts, struggles, wins, learnings, suggestions, and everything in between as I raise a bright daughter and make sure she confidently explores the world of STEM…  on her own terms.

Hopefully it will help other parents of daughters, and offer a worthwhile perspective to anyone concerned with the relationship between girls and STEM.

P.S. Thanks in advance for bearing with me over the next few weeks as I sort out the look and content structure for this site.
